I have been called for more then 1 romex under a slandered staple 1/2 by 11/8". If you read the GB bow it does state 2 conductors well there are 2 conductors in a 12-2 or 14-2 romex. The inspector made us get GB ms-XL staples witch are 1/2 by 1 3/4". They allow 2 to 4 CABLES not conductors.

If you ever need to replace that light it will be nice to have the wire secured while it dangling from the ceiling and not putting stress at other junctions. Also, if the ceiling is the top floor and abuts the attic stapling the wires prevents trip hazards. 2018-11-04 I believe the DIY house envelope extension, and the dehumidifier, were attempts to control the moisture/corrosion problem in the basement. I do plan on doing that properly, sealing crawl space vents, replacing any badly corroded galvanized ductwork.

This would be in a crawl space. The provisions of 334.15 (C) apply only to unfinished basements. I don t see any provisions limiting the size of cable that can be fastened to the bottom of the joists in a crawlspace. Bryan.
